Information processed when you browse or inquire
- Connection information: hosting services may process IP addresses, request URLs, timestamps and browser information to deliver pages and protect the service. This website uses Cloudflare. Logging and retention depend on the services and account settings.
- Material searches: filtering runs in your browser. Search terms may appear in the URL and be sent to the hosting service when opening, refreshing or sharing that URL. Do not enter personal or confidential information in search fields.
- Inquiries: the form accepts name, company, phone, email, material and requirements. Its button passes these details to your email application to create a draft. Chen You receives the inquiry by email only after you send it. The website has no backend that directly receives or stores the form.
Purposes and legal bases
Information is used to deliver and protect the website and respond to material inquiries and business communications that you initiate. Where GDPR applies, the relevant basis may be steps at your request before a contract, contract performance, or legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and securing the website. Legally required processing relies on the relevant obligation. The website has no advertising tracking, marketing subscription or automated personal scoring feature. Providing inquiry details is voluntary; missing required contact information may prevent an inquiry or response.
Providers, external links and international processing
Cloudflare provides hosting and network security. Inquiries pass through your email provider and Chen You’s receiving email service. Opening LINE, maps or other external links takes you to services with their own privacy policies; these services are not embedded here.
Providers may process information outside Taiwan, including in the United States. Cloudflare describes international processing of cookie data in its official documentation. Contact Chen You for details about the actual providers, processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards used for your information.
Retention
The website code does not create a visitor or inquiry database. Retention of received business inquiries depends on the need to respond, subsequent business dealings, legal recordkeeping requirements and dispute handling. Hosting and email logs follow the actual service settings. Contact Chen You for the retention period applicable to a specific record.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or objection, and portability where available. Consent-based processing can be withdrawn without affecting prior lawful processing. Where GDPR applies, you may complain to a competent data protection authority.
Email contact@chen-you.com with your request and relevant correspondence. Identity verification may be needed. Requests covered by GDPR should generally receive a response within one month, with notice and reasons within that period if a lawful extension is needed.
